Strategic Expansion in Estonia: AD Baltic Group Acquires Mercantile AS
The international automotive spare parts trading group, AD Baltic Group, has taken a significant step in strengthening its position in the Baltic region. The company has successfully closed a deal to acquire 100% of the shares of Mercantile AS, one of Estonia’s most experienced and highly valued market players.
Operating in Estonia for decades, Mercantile AS has earned a stable reputation in the market thanks to its professional team and strong positions, particularly in the heavy-duty (HD) transport parts segment. This acquisition allows AD Baltic Group not only to solidify its presence in the neighboring market but also to significantly expand its scope of operations.
By combining the expertise of both companies, the plan is to consolidate capacities and offer even greater value to customers. The group’s product portfolio will be supplemented with new brands and a specialized assortment, while a strengthened logistics infrastructure will ensure an even more efficient supply chain across the region.
Vaidas Sitka, CEO of AD Baltic, emphasizes that this deal opens new perspectives for the entire organization.
“We believe this step will provide new opportunities for growth, improvement, and professional development for our teams across all Baltic states. Our main priority right now is a careful and gradual integration that allows us to leverage our shared potential and synergy while maintaining operational stability,” says V. Sitka.
At this stage, no major organizational or management changes are planned—the primary focus is on the smooth alignment of processes.
